Mountainbike in Morocco means you really go for a bike into the mountains !
We have an easy biking option: Morocco the great South up to the Sahara desert.
This tour you can join from January up to April. And we have a more demanding more technical tour High Atlas Mountains which is organized form April up to June. Both tours start in the magical city of Marrakech and with 2 nights in Marrakech you make a 8 day trip. For the biking: during 6 days you make a wonderful tour with trails and tracks selected because they are so nice. This means we sometimes have a little transfer by car. At least to get started.
The tour Morocco the great South is a real exotic biking tour through the lunar landscape of the High and Anti Atlas mountains, the lovely palm oases of the Drâa Valley up to the sand dunes of the Sahara desert. In the remote area of Jebel Saghro you pass the volcanic gate with huge rock pillars of "Bab-n-Ali" and you will conquer the pass Tizi-n-Tazazert to get into the green valley of the Dadès. Our adventure is complete with our last transfer over the High Atlas mountains back to the magical city of Marrakech. You will enjoy exploring this exotic city, the busy souks and the beautiful ‘Jardins Majorelles’. A night time visit to the colorful Jemaa el Fna is a splendid final of your one week extraordinary Morocco trip.
The mountainbike in the High Atlas Mountains is a little more heavy. The white snow capped mountain peaks you see them already from the city of Marrakech. Jebel Toubkal (4.167m) being the highest. On mountainbike we stay a little lower and conquer challenging passes of over 2.000 meters. This Morocco mountainbike trip takes you to beautiful nature, small Berber villages, green valleys and colorful mountains. Around the villages you find walnut trees and small terraces with barley. And a lot of rough terrain in between. Just like “Little Nepal” as tour leader Jos described when he arrived for the first time in the Berber village of Imsker.
