In summer it's an easy going walking mountain. No specific mountaineering experience is needed. It is just walking; step by step. In winter be prepared for snow. Especially the last day to the summit. To have the nicest views on top you will start very early in the morning.
This will be easier when you use crampons; which can be hired in the mountain village of Imlil. The local guide shows you how to use them. The trekking is good for acclimatizationand in the lower Berbervalleys - upto 2.000m. - it is like spring. During the day when the sun is shining even in winter it can be warm; you might be walking just in your T-shirt. However when the sun disappears: be prepared! In the evening and during the night it's getting much colder. Take your dow jacket if you have one!
