Walking up the highest mountain in Morocco? 2012; March 10 special 8 day Jebel Toubkal trip with a nice discount

Mountains in Morocco? Yes, there are several mountain ranges. And Mount - Jebel - Toubkal is the highest. The summit is 4.167m./13.671ft. above sea level. Even in winter with snow on the highest slopes it is an easy mountain to conquer. Set your new personal record and climb a 4.000 meter mountain. A trekking to Mount Toubkal is more than just climbing a high mountain; take the time to enjoy the beautiful and colorful Atlas Mountains and the welcoming Berber people! And your climb you can enjoy the magic city of Marrakech. And celebrate your succes with a nice diner on the famous gathering square Jemaa el Fna. Jebel Toubkal and the High Atlas mountains are located in the middle of Morocco. Just south of Marrakech. Only a 1,5 hr drive and you are in the mountains to start your trekking.
With our standard trip you can join one of our small international groups.
Starting in Marrakech every Sunday.
Up to April 2012 starting every Saturday.
And on Saturday March 10 there is a nice discount:
euro 435 p/p in stead of euro 465.
Including all transfers (to/from the airport as well), 2 nights in a cosy Riad hotel in the old city center of Marrakech, 6 days trekking to Mt. Toubkal with luggage transport !, a local guide walking with you and all meals included, with nice picnics 'on the road'.
Get a kick out of climbing the highest summit of North Africa.
In summer it's an easy going walking mountain. No specific mountaineering experience is needed. It is just walking; step by step. In winter be prepared for snow. Especially the last day to the summit. To have the nicest views on top you will start very early in the morning.
This will be easier when you use crampons to walk on the frozen snow. You can hire crampons in the mountain village of Imlil where you pass by on day 4. Never walked with crampons before? No problem; the local guide will show you how to use them. And if you have sturdy (category B is sufficient) walking shoes the crampons always fit.
The program of trekking is made for good acclimatization and in the lower Berbervalleys - upto 2.000m. - it is now like spring. During the day when the sun is shining it can be warm; you might be walking just in your T-shirt. However when the sun disappears: be prepared! In the evening and during the night it's getting much colder. Take your dow jacket if you have one!
Maroc Travel offers a complete one week - 8 days - Morocco adventure with a 6 day fully serviced Toubkal trekking. So you can concentrate on summiting the highest mountain of North Africa. The local guide is very experienced to show you the good rythm for walking.
Combined with 2 nights in magic Marrakech this makes a perfect one week holiday to refresh your body and mind.
